Happy June!! Is anyone else jumping for joy today? Here in Buffalo our schools are still in session so we are deriving motivation anything. Literally anything. Today is part three of our lunch series: Double Dose your Lunch Break. You can check out our previous posts below… Lunch Prep for Teachers Anti-Pinterest Teacher Lunches Today we’re focusing on something we love. If you follow us on Instagram you may have an idea of what we mean. We LOVE cute lunchware. Lunch boxes, tumblers, travel coffee mugs, lunch containers. If it’s cute and has to do with food, we love it and probably own something like it. We’ve highlighted some of our favorite lunchware and included some tips that help us feel more energized during the day. By now you’ve seen one of our favorite lunches, Uncrustables. We wanted to highlight the lunch bag in the bag. It’s a Vera Bradley, an all-around teacher favorite brand! Happy Friday! This week we’re highlighting our second installment of our blogging series: Double Dose Your Lunch Break. A couple weeks ago we showed you some easy and simple ideas to meal prep your lunches . We love meal prepping but with our families, sometimes it’s just so difficult to fit this in.   That’s why today, we’re bringing you lunch ideas for the anti-Pinterest teacher! We’ve all felt the stress of having an “Instagram worthy” classroom. So if your bulletin board hasn’t been updated in a while or if your classroom library is a disaster, this blog post is for you. We’ve been there and if you haven’t yet, you’ll experience it at some po...

I am so excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week with my staff, and do a little something extra to show them how much they are appreciated. These ideas spread some cheer, but don’t break the bank. They are perfect if you have many staff members to accommodate and need to do something cost-effective. I suggest going to a wholesale store like Sam’s Club or BJ’s to stock up on what you need, and get the best price at the same time. Food Trucks: Food trucks are a “thing” in our area, so we got 3 of them to come on different days during lunchtime. I didn’t pay for any of the lunches, however people were eager to take advantage and try something new on their lunch break. So much fun! J Day 1: “I Donut What I Woul...

We can't believe that it's already May next week, and that means we're in the home stretch to finish out the school year!! It's important to stay on top of those to-do lists now more than ever to help May and June run as smoothly as possible. Check out our favorite tips and ways to help keep you on track in the classroom and at home! 1.        Keep a planner. The Double Dose teachers cannot live without their matching planners! We write everything from meeting dates, lesson plans, and future ideas for resources, and everything in between. Pull out your flair pens and color coordinate as much as you can too!    2.    Amp up your to-do list! I have so much going on in trying to juggle work, Teachers Pay Teachers, grad school assignments and things to do around my house…and most days I just.can’t.even. handle it all. I like to always have a visual list going, and section it off into the 4 areas of my life that I am trying to ma...
